Horrific Collision Kills Two

A horrific collision in Humble killed two people and injured another at about 2:30 am on Wednesday, January 3rd. According to Humble Police officers on the scene, an SUV heading south on Wilson Road at a high rate of speed slammed the side of a Dodge Charger heading east on FM 1960 with such force that the Charger was thrown several feet in the air into a large metal light pole, literally tearing the vehicle into pieces. Both occupants of that vehicle died instantly upon impact and their bodies were so severely injured that first responders could not initially determine the victims’ sexes. The adult male driver of the SUV was also seriously injured and taken to an area hospital in stable condition. Investigation of the tragedy continues to determine which driver ran the red light at the intersection and whether alcohol was a factor. No charges are presently pending, but police won’t rule them out, depending upon the results of their investigation.
